Ridgeway

Where does our name come from?

Well one short version of its origin is that the Directors Andy and Mike, both keen cyclists who often cycle in the beautiful Chilterns near their homes, were out cycling and thinking about a name for the business and they saw the Ridgeway sign and thought… “that will do, now let’s go get some coffee and cake!”

The slightly longer version goes like this…

The Ridgeway is an ancient trackway described as Britain’s oldest road.

It defines a route with high ground, commanding views, creating greater security and more certainty of achieving the destination.

We have long thought that the secret to success is that there is no secret! It is more about knowing what is the best pathway, the most direct route, safest, most reliable road, path or track that you can follow that will allow you to get from where you are now to where you want to be in the future (Success). We believe in business, especially where people are involved, having a clear, straight forward and proven track to follow is what leads to sustainable success: hence the name Ridgeway.
